NAME: Ororo Munroe
CANON: Marvel - 616
AGE: Mid-thirties
CANON POINT: Storm #3
BACKGROUND: Wikia and Comicvine
INCENTIVE/FIT: As the result of a great deal of life experience, Ororo has a compassionate bearing and a great deal of empathy. She is sociable individual and relatively easy to get along with. Her friendship is expressed through hugs and friendly kisses, handholds and pats on the back. Her closer friends also seem to enjoy a more romantic edge to her affection as well and her expressions of love come easily. Sex is not a large issue for her. She considers it intimate but she does not mind being physical with those who have earned that level of trust.
Her Incentive for Eudio is a heavy one, but worthwhile in her opinion. The chance to restore her beloved Logan's healing factor is something that Ororo jumped at. Like her, he is a great many things and while does have some internal turmoil at the downside of his miraculous healing, having him back to full health is well worth the cost in her mind.
SAMPLES:
It had been a long time since anyone showed enough patience to impress Ororo and she found herself musing about it at the window of the quiet little conference room. "Just a moment" she said and nursed a cup of complimentary tea as she 'thought'. Today 'thinking' included a low pulse of electro-magnetism, fine for larger electronics like phone - but would decimate any bugs located in the room.
These people from Eudio seemed familiar with her, asking the right questions and saying the right things to peak her interest. They were prepared well enough for Ororo Munroe, but not at all for Storm of the X-Men. Strangely enough, they seemed to mean that they'd only meant to talk. Her cynicism would have made Logan proud at least.
Logan...
"Miss?" The representative perked up for a moment and Ororo took a breath to steel herself. Turning from the window, she walked back to the table at which they had their earlier discussion. Extending a graceful hand for a handshake, Ororo smiled brightly.
"You have a deal."
ANYTHING ELSE?
Storm has done and lived enough for several lifetimes and her talents are much wider than her mutation of weather control. Ororo is an interesting case among the X-Men, as she is highly effective as leader with and without her powers. She possesses eyesight good enough to see in near darkness, her senses of balance and coordination, as well as her reflexes are said to be far above normal. A master thief and escape artist trained from a young age, she has the same level of dexterity in her mouth, hands and feet and as such, always keeps a set of lockpicks as a part of her paraphanalia. There are very few weapons that she does not have experience with and she is an excellent marksman with handguns and proficient in the use of knives. She is fluent in several languages including Russian, Arabic and Swahili and speaks functionally in several others.
Storm is an expert thief, and a gifted hand-to-hand fighter, trained by el-Gibar, Professor X, Wolverine and T'Challa, the Black Panther. She has a great mind for strategy and tactics and regularly overtakes physically stronger foes like Callisto and the Crimson Commando in hand-to-hand combat. Storm has been described as having one of the strongest wills among the X-Men, making her highly resistant to psychic attacks especially in tandem with electrical fields she creates around herself. Telepaths have found it difficult to track her down and probe her thoughts
Mutant Ability - Weather control
Storm possesses the psionic ability to control all forms of weather over vast areas. She is able to control both Earthly and extraterrestrial ecosystems, provided enough time has passed in the latter for her to adjust. She has once sensed a diseased and dying tree on the X-Mansion grounds, detected objects within various atmospheric mediums—including water, and sensed the incorrect motion of a hurricane in the Northern Hemisphere and the gravitational stress on the tides by the Moon and Sun as well as the distortion of a planet's magnetosphere. She has been shown to be sensitive to the dynamics of the natural world, and her psionic powers over weather are affected by her emotions. One consequence of this connection to nature is that she often suppresses extreme feelings to prevent her emotional state from resulting in violent weather. Her mutant abilities are ultimately only limited by her willpower and the strength of her body, the government considers her a mutant with “Omega level potential”.
Things she can control precisely include:
- atmospheric pressure (with enough dexterity to manipulate only the pressure in the ear canal, or steal the air from someone’s lungs)
- temperature – which her body will adjust to compensate for automatically becoming colder in hotter climates and warmer in colder ones.
- precipitation and humidity – though she does have a preference for rain, and she is deft enough bend light using moisture in the air to appear partially transparent, and in later comics, nearly invisible.
- generation of lightning and other electromagnetic atmospheric phenomena.
- control natural forces that include cosmic storms, solar wind, ocean currents, and the electromagnetic field.
- separate water molecules into oxygen and hydrogen via electrolysis, allowing her to breathe underwater.
- visual perceptions so as to see the universe in terms of energy patterns and view the Earth as weather patterns, and is able to precisely recognize her geographic position through interpretations of these patterns.
Magical potential
Storm's ancestry supports the use of magic and witchcraft, as many of her ancestors were sorceresses and priestesses. Storm's matrilineal powers have even been linked to the Egyptian goddess Ma'at, also known as Oshtur — the mother of Agamotto, who strong favor for the her family’s bloodline. For some unknown reason, since the dawn of Atlantis, this line of African women has been given distinguishing features of white hair, blue eyes, and powerful magic potential. While Storm has not developed her magical potential, she remains extraordinarily potent. It has been stated that Storm's spirit is so strong that she was able to host the consciousness of an avatar of Eternity, an immortal entity that is unaffected by the passage of time. In a gathering consisting of herself, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Silver Surfer and the Fantastic Four, she and Doctor Strange were the only viable candidates.
